Angstrom & OpenZaurus / 6000l And Oz/gpe

hi,

tried OZ/GPE on my 6000L after a long time and very impressed with its progress. but some issues remain for me:

1. can the wifi be configured via the GUI? or is it command line only? i have an WEP encrypted network at home.

2, missing portabase on the GPE. this is something i use daily. other stuff of regular use ( iqnotes, FBReader, pdf, freenote, kapi) all seem to be available.

the first post has clear instructions on enabling internal wifi. i can confirm that the procedure works for rc12.

Well, since no one seems to provide a GTK+ flavor for rc11, I'm attaching the one I bult last week. I didn't test it thou, since I ran qt one on my Z.

cool, btw what feeds do you update with? i did an update and crashed mine, gotta reflash and resetup my pdax/xfce install. Also how did you get kopi to work mine wont launch.

i would also like to know the feeds to update with. had a similar experience (reflash) on my SL6000L.

regarding kopi - have you tried using 2.2.3, it works well on SL6000L + rc11 + xfce. although compared to the shar rom version, kdepim is still very slow on pdaxrom and syncing takes a long long time (at least with kapi on my linux desktop)

Can you upload a GTK+ flavoir of 0.6.4 too? If you don't have it, I can upload 0.6.3 GTK+ for rc11, I've just got compiled.

hi,

on Sl6000L, gnumeric dies when anything but the most trivial excel spreadsheet is opened. the same sheets were no problem opening in rc10.

anyone with similar problem? if so, any fix known?

i am using the GTK version comipled for rc10 and it seems to work fine but would be grateful if i could get one compiled for rc 11.

one question for FBReader - how does one start/stop autoscroll??

you are right - neither the qtopia nor the sharpdtm libraries are included (and i dont know why) but since i dont keep my data in any of these formats, it doesnt bother me.

has anyone tried the kdepim 2.2.3 on rc11? on my Sl6000L, kapi complains that libmicrokabc-file.so, libmicrokabc-qtopia.so and libmicrokabc-sharpdtm.so are not found. consequently i get a 'no resource available' error message.

all these files exist in /usr/lib.

any help is appreciated.

sorry for replying to my own mail but. borealid has provided the solution - these files have to be present in /opt/kdepimpi, so

ln -s /usr/lib/libmicrokabc* /opt/kdepimpi
now it should work!!

My mistake again, there are three libraries that don't contain an underscore, so the command should be:

# ln -s /usr/lib/libmicrokabc* /opt/kdepimpi/

I'll make a new ipkg with these links in place in a few days.
