- It has been rumored that LittleKernel (https://github.com/littlekernel/lk/wiki/Introduction) will be used as a boot loader, is this true? Will it be possible to install and boot additional OSes, even from a MicroSD card?

Would like to know this as well.

Gemini PDA - General Discussion / Finally decided to make my pledge...

After reading that the folks at Planet might bump up the price of the perks at the end of this month, I have finally decided to make my pledge for a new Gemini. Since I wanted both the device and a pouch, I have opted for the All-in Bundle (the Wifi+LTE version, a leather pouch, an USB-C hub, a power supply and an HDMI cable), plus the front camera add-on. Can't wait to check out if it will be a worthwhile Zaurus successor. Expect now even more posts from me in the Gemini subforum in the future

Has anybody else here made a pledge, too?

Varti

No, maybe soon!

Gemini PDA - Hardware / First Gemini Prototypes
« on: September 13, 2017, 07:02:59 am »
Yes, I agree the Gemini is progressing well. There were doubts about the device carrying the larger battery capacity (8000mAh) but the reduced capacity is not too disappointing since they are discussing plans to offer the extended battery add-on.

Good catch about the SIM slot, I guess we'll have to wait and see what the difference is between the Gemini models. Hopefully we will get more details from the videos.

Thanks for posting this article.

Days of battery life for the Zaurus is good, but also try Pandora if you want weeks of battery life!

New products and alternatives / iMovio iKit
« on: August 03, 2017, 09:28:20 am »
There was a Linux device announced in 2008 that is somewhat similar to the Zaurus called the iKit by imovio.

I don't think the iKit was ever released because there is no product review and there are only a few images of the product. Anyone else know about the imovio iKit?
