For Sale / Wanted / For Sale: Excellent C860 With Many Extras
« on: April 30, 2005, 04:12:13 pm »
Hi All,
I have decided to sell my C860 after having not used it much and unable to sync with Lotus Notes which is a feature I need in a handheld. It is in excellent condition (almost brand new condition) with the original box and everything that came with it. plus many extras I bought thinking I could have used it with my job. My company's VPN software also does not run on this platform, so I could not use it to get remote access into our intranet. Anyway, I have spent over $1000.00 in all and have loaded it with the Cacko ROM. I take extremely great care of all my electronics, so all of this is in excellent condition and looks BRAND NEW.

Here is what is included:
- Sharp C860 with original box and all contents
- Gorgeous Executive style black leather case with red stiches and pewter logo hanging emblem by Spacetown.co.jp. I cannot say enough about how people react to the zaurus with this case. They simply love it.
- Socket Low Power WLAN Wi-Fi CF card
- Socket Bluetooth CF card - This card has been sold separately and is therefore not included with the extras. Total price has been reduced to reflex this.
- Lexar 256 MB SD card - This card has been sold separately and is therefore not included with the extras. Total price has been reduced to reflex this.
- Sandisk 256 MB SD card - This card has been sold separately and is therefore not included with the extras. Total price has been reduced to reflex this.
- Kingston 32 MB SD card - This card has been sold separately and is therefore not included with the extras. Total price has been reduced to reflex this.
- Smart 64 MB SD card - This card has been sold separately and is therefore not included with the extras. Total price has been reduced to reflex this.
- extra chrome stylus (Tungsten T Stylus)
- Serial IO USB data cable
- Camera CE-AG06
- power Adaptor

I am asking $550.00 with FREE SHIPPING to the continental USA. Actual shipping charges elsewhere.

Take a look at some of the pics below to see this great deal. Please PM me with any questions. Thank you.

Sharp ROMs / Cacko 1.22 And Lotus Notes 6
« on: January 03, 2005, 03:18:26 pm »
All,
I have been pulling my hair out to get Lotus Notes 6 and Cacko 1.22 to sync on my c860 but no luck with the Calendar. Notes crashes and generates an nsd_all_<????????????>.log file. I am able to get the Address Book and To Do list to sync without a problem but this calendar sync is giving me pain. Is there an easier way to sync between WinXP and Cacko 1.22 on the C860? I am currenly using Intellisync. Thank you.

Sharp ROMs / Tcp Write Error
« on: December 29, 2004, 11:59:56 am »
When I use a Bluetooth PAN connection, after a while Netfront (or any other client) gives a pop-up window titled "Content Error". THe discription in the window states that it is a "TCP write error". Even if I drop the connection and re-connect I get that error. I could only get rid of it by re-booting. Any way around it?

Sharp ROMs / How To Get Access Using Bluetooth Pan
« on: December 28, 2004, 02:56:43 pm »
I have bluetooth PAN set up and am able to browse the internet using Netfront and Opera on my C860 with cacko 1.21b. I have FreeProxy on WinXP and use that to get on the internet from the Z. The problem is that any other clients even Konsole on the Z are not able to ping IPs since they do not use the proxy settings since the settings only work for HTTP and FTP. Is there a way to set a general Proxy in Cacko 1.21b?

I guess the question I really want an answer to is how can I ping an IP from Konsole using a Bluetooth PAN connection? Thank you.

Sharp ROMs / Getting the Socket WLAN CF to work with Cacko 121b
« on: November 11, 2004, 06:33:50 pm »
If you have a Socket WLAN CF card and Cacko 1.21b ROM and cannot connect, just turn off auto-connect and re-insert the card. It works out of the box that way.

Site Suggestions, Requests, and Updates / Give the little guy a clamshell
« on: February 03, 2004, 09:53:06 am »
I was taking a close look at the ZUG logo and noticed that the little guy in the middle does not have a Z and the other two have the 5X00 models. I would like to suggest we give the little guy in the middle a clamshell.....he has waited long enough.

Cxx0 General discussions / SSH times out? WiFi Card suspend?
« on: January 23, 2004, 10:41:45 pm »
All, I am having a slight problem that I hope someone has already solved. When I SSH into my Z (TKC 2.5.1, C860, Richjn kernel (OC+WE)) after a few minutes it is not responding until I go to the Z and do something like ping my laptop from which I was SSH from. I am not sure if SSH server on the Z times out or my wireless card (Socket) connection times out? It happens after about 5 min. of not using the SSH. Any ideas?

Cxx0 General discussions / Proxy
« on: January 23, 2004, 03:43:31 pm »
It appears that Netfront or Opera does not pick up the Proxy server information from the Network Connection Proxy tab. Is this working for anyone?

I have a 860 with a Socket wifi card and a laptop with a wifi card in ad-hoc mode and a LAN card which is connected to the internet. I can get the Socket on the Z and the wifi on the laptop to connect and ping each other but I cannot get the Zaurus to use the internet connection even when I share the LAN card connection with the wifi on the laptop.
