Any idea which software do resize/rotate big photo in Z? say I directly import from digital camera.  I tried imagemagick_5.5.3-1_arm.ipk, seem like not working and no interface and the file is very big, nearly 4MB.

Try using VisualQ it is in the Cacko feed.

VisualQ can't load such big images. I tried this already with 5 megapixel pictures.

If I install the new mplayer (I'm using Cacko 1.22 on C750) it adds several Megs instead of replacing the existing mplayer. Is this intended? Or can I replace the old mplayer files manually with the new ones?

General Discussion / Any Image Manipulation (image Resize) Prog ?

Look on ELSI for Visual Q. It is quite a nice gui graphics editor. It allows selecting a range and clipping (cropping) to that range, adjusting brightness, contrast, gamma, rotating, mirroring, resizing, quite a few nice filters, like blur, sharpen, mosaic, swirl, and emboss. And it supports jpeg, png, bmp, tiff, and some other file formats. It also has a "batch" selection on the file menu, which I presume allows batch processing of some sort. I just found it last night, so I don't know the program extremely well. But I sure like what I see.

I tried Visual Q before. The problem is (as with other Z programs) that it cannot load such big pictures. I tried the jpgs from my 5 megapixel digicam and it couldn't load the pics.

Just as an FYI, which is unrelated to the problem you are having.  You may run into problems installing packages that you download from feed if you do not have the necessary dependencies.  When you install from the feed the package manager will automatically install any additional needed packages.  So, keep that in mind.

Delete /usr/lib/ipkg folder and also similar folders from CF and SD cards. That should help with those error messages and GUI Package Manager will be able to install packages.

Sharp ROMs / Cacko Rom 1.22 Is Available!

I flashed the new Cacko on my C750 today. It looks very nice.

But I have the following problem. Since I don't have internet access with my Z I downloaded the packages with my PC and copied the packages to the cf card.
But I can't install via the GUI (ipkg said something went wrong). At the console I get the message:
'The following package were previously requested but have not been installed: error
Install them now [Y/n]?'

If I say 'Yes' there are Errors that some File was not found (/usr/lib/ipkg/lists/Cacko) and it tries to connect to cacko.biz/cacko/feed.
If I say 'No' then it also can't find the /usr/lib/ipkg/lists/Cacko but installs the package.

Since I'm not that expert with the console I would like to be able to install  with the GUI.

Can anyone help?

The thing I don't like in the current beta version is it simply doesn't allow me to save a file!     This really forces one to buy it or to give it up altogether... Just my 2 cents.

You can save but only in the TextMaker format *.tmd.

Yes    and Midnight commander   (completely usable with lasr cako: big fonts and fullscreen Konsole)

I'm using mc with the cacko 1.21b. Do you know how can I select multiple files?
