Hey Stu,
What's the purpose of remounting / as ro? Just to keep it protected? I'm wondering if I can change the fstab file to have it mounted rw automatically, without disabling the device of course.

Disregard. I forgot to try the power on passwd that I set. All is fine now in Z-land

Got my 6K today. So nice. Never seen a screen this nice on a handheld. Can anyone tell me what the root passwd is? Gotta have that!

6000 - Tosa / Perl in ROM

I suggest you use dev-img 1.5 (you can find it here among ZUG downloads). it includes (almost) everything you need to compile programs onboard (including perl 5.6)

Is that a ROM build? Or a gcc compiler?

Be getting my 6K tomorrow. Can anyone tell me if Perl is installed in the Linux build that comes on it? Suppose I'll find out tomorrow for sure, but am curious to know
