I have the Kingston 2GB SLC  CF card, which was better value for money than 1GB.

It works absolutely fine, is more than fast enough for viewing movies without any problems.
I have 5 compessed movies and 10 cds on MP3 on mine at present with 40% capacity left.

I have it formatted to vfat just in case I need to use Windoze.  As it is just bulk data storage that doesn't cause any problems, if I had any executables on it I would probably format ext2fs as I dont trust vfat not to screw up file permissions etc.

Got mine from www.dabs.com, who are usually cheapest around and very quick if it is in stock (got mine next day)
