Sudo Display Hack?
« on: April 19, 2005, 10:03:01 am »
i am delighted with a recent c3000 purchase, however it disturbed me some apps i wanted to use were made for older models and did not load 640x480 ... mainly wellenreiter was the main one i wanted to use properly... executing normally just ran in portraight with poor resolution... i then installed sudo and ran sudo wellenreiter and it loaded 640x480 with perfect resolution! It does not switch between, like the other apps, and locks into vertical if you try to swap, but for sole use of an app is perfect. I am not sure *why* this worked for me, or if it is commonly known, but i thought i would post as i did have to install sudo from elsewhere, so it did not come 'ready'... running Sharp 1.01 ROM.

I have wellenreiter installed on my C3000, and yes it would open in portrait mode instead of landscape mode. To fix it I pressed down on the icon for wellenreiter and in the window that opened up deselected display with magnified screen.

Now it opens in landscape mode just the way I want it.

HTH
