Opera on TKC - Segfaults
« on: January 22, 2004, 01:44:36 am »
Could anyone possibly tell me why Opera is segfaulting on tkc? I installed the opera ipk that goes with the 1.0 release(applications.tar.gz from the project page). I\'m trying it now on the alpha3 build(though I see no zimage for alpha3, just initrd.bin). I\'ve also tried this on 1.0 and I get the same thing. Going into the terminal and launching it gives me this output word for word:

\"Segmentation Fault\"

When I install opera from terminal with \"ipkg install (opera ipk)\" , I get no errors or anything else, just that the install was a success. Are there any dependencies that I\'m missing? A certain procedure that I\'m missing?

I tried Konquerer but it was buggy as hell(crashes on slashdot.org); trying to install the newer version from the opie feed results in nothing, just that the file is not in gzip format.

I\'m at my wits end with this particular battle. Someone please help, I don\'t wanna be upset at my Z, but at the rate it\'s going now I\'m going to be at the \"Screw this I\'m selling the blasted thing!\" stage before long.

Thanks in advace for any help that you guys can do, I would greatly appreciate it.
