Mmc Vs. Sd
« on: May 10, 2005, 01:00:12 pm »
From what I've heard, the Z's are all native MMC card devices and run SD cards in some type of emmulation mode.  Is there any kind of performance penaulty for this ?

I'm looking to outfit my forthcoming C1000 suite with a 512mb 'SD' card of some type.  In that size range the MMC card prices I'm seeing are bout 20% to 30% cheaper than SD. I should probably research (and likely will) the specific differences between the two in general, but as far as the Z's go is there any reason not to buy MMC ?

 Thanks all!

(I will point out as well that @ 1GB the prices of the two formats appear to be about the same...)
