What is the latest kernel for SL5500?

Hi,

Couple of months ago I updated ROM of my SL5500. The problem is that now i dont remember the ROM Version and the System Info doesn\'t also show me that. However, the kernel is  2.4.18-rmk7-pxa3-embedix. Can anyone advice me is it the latest version I\'m using?

Also when I tried to use the current ROM Update setup.exe, the FlashROMUpdate program cannot connect to Zaurus.  Ofcourse the device is connected to the notebook and the can be ping\'d.

What do you guys suggest what might be the problem?

It sounds like you\'re using an early Sharp ROM v3.x release. It\'s up to 3.13 now, but the kernel version hasn\'t been changed since the 2.x ROMs, otherwise it would break module compatibility all over again.

The Windows update program for the 3.x ROMs is broken, so I\'m afraid you\'ll have to flash using the CF card. There are plenty of instructions at the myzaurus.com site where you can download the ROM.
