Setting Up Encodings In Cacko Web Browsers
« on: May 22, 2005, 07:45:20 am »
I have correctly installed Microsoft Core Fonts Verdana and Georgia that support all encodings, I have problems with settings UTF-8 and Windows-1256 for arabic and persian support on either NetFront 3.1 or Opera 7.55 (euroclie ipk) for SLC3000. I keep getting wrong characters, close but not correct. I am running Cacko B1, could anyone please point me out to sorting out the encoding issues? Netfront doesn't seem to be able to go beyonh Japanese and European encodings, whilst I can't seem to be able to set encodings at all in Opera...
thanks!

Try the opera-chartable_7.25-2_arm.ipk fix off of the Cacko feed. That is a replacement chartable.bin for Opera that supports "other" bidirectional fonts.
