Digitizer Accuracy/fluctuation, Is It Normal?
« on: August 19, 2005, 06:56:15 pm »
Hi,

I finally took the plunge, and picked up a up a 6000.  I'm noticing that
when running X, if I'm holding the stylus perfectly still on the screen,
the cursor is fluctuating a pixel or two in each direction continuously.

Is this normal?  This unit has a textured abrasion on the corner, sort of what
I would expect from a drop on a driveway.

Anyway, I'd be curious if others see windows shake when dragging them and
keeping the stylus steady.

Thanks,  John

I've had two of them, and they all had same problem.
The one I currently have fluctuates less than the other one I had before.

The problem increases when you overclock the 6000, and is reduced to almost nothing when underclocked.  Perhaps this is an EMI problem.  Maybe some Dielectric material used as shielding would help.
