has anyone got this installed on a 3100 in chroot mode?
If yes, then how does the chroot enviro work "booting" wise?

other words does it boot to console initially then you chose an wm from there? Are there scripts for this?

Currently I have a 1Gb partition with the debian/pocketworkstation extracted into debroot, the partition is ext2 format, and it is mounted at boot(via rc.rofilesys script modification)

Personally I would like it to boot to console then have a script print Debian=1, Qt=2, then type in a 1 or 2 depending on what I want.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have installed it - but then removed it.

It worked by booting into Qtopia, then shutting down qtopia and launching pocketworkstation / debian.

I removed it, because I was unable to find a way to connect to my wifi network from within Debian... I experiment for now with Meanie's various Debian packages...

i was thinking of making some auto-startup script at the end of rc.rofilesys. For instance it would pause  for 5 seconds, if say the keyboard letter 'd" is typed goto Debian, but if left alone then goto qt.

No wifi working, dang, I need that for the updates. what was the problem specifically? the card or just a unknown software config?

has anyone got wifi to work with it?

I have no idea how to activate my wifi card from within debian... Since I am a newbie, that may be easy to do for someone more experienced - but I do not know how...

right now I cant even get debian to boot, the farthest I have gotten is the stylus calibration, then gave me an error about expecting 20 -vs- 8(what it recieved), past that, havent been able to get back to that point yet, and I replaced Fbvnc with the one modified for the 3000 series too.

is the filesystem provided a 'bootable filesystem'? If so I may be able to use altBoot, someone reported this being useable on the 3100 series.

Did you change the config files for 640x480 screen size (as described here: [a href=\"http://www.eleves.ens.fr/home/leurent/zaurus.html)]http://www.eleves.ens.fr/home/leurent/zaurus.html)[/url] ? I had the same problem, but I think the config file change solved it...

still same error, "expecting 20 bytes, recieved 16 now" what does that mean? Tried the new zvncserver script from pocketworkstation's site(says it handles the SL-CXXX series configs better) I see that aterm icewm and "other" debian programs are running but looks like Fbvnc is giving me problems.

tried again same issue, so if anyone has this running, any chance in posting your Vncserver script? Any help will be appreciated.

I can press enter without touching the screen and I see the sweet debian enviro. But soon as I touch the screen, crash. Ideas?
