Stupid Kphone Question
« on: December 14, 2005, 11:29:41 pm »
Hi all,
I have kphone set up with FWD and now with Vonage (to make pstn calls). It has worked great! I was on a business trip to Tokyo last week and was able to call the office toll free number with only a few hickups, (I'd lose connections at variable times e.g. after 1 minute, after 10 minutes, etc.). Anyway, I get back to the office and I can't make VOIP calls through our firewall. I talked to our sysadmin and he says he'll look into it...

Anyway, I have a couple of guys on my team that I could call using kphone, however, I can't seem to be able to make an ip to ip or host to host call.

kphone keeps appending @fwd.pulver.com to the ip address I put in. Well, I can't get out to fwd.pulver.com on port 5060. Is there any way to tell kphone just to call an internal ip address instead of going through fwd?

I tried a new profile with no Host Part of SIP URL (doesn't work). I tried SJPhone on a windows pc to call the z and it goes right through no problem. I just can't make ip to ip calls FROM the z.

Any Ideas are much appreciated!
