Tetsu Kernel, Symbol Cf Wifi And Kismet
« on: January 19, 2006, 01:57:44 am »
Anyone got this combination to work? I have to use the detect as LAN work around for the card to be recognized but iwconfig does not permit the card to be placed into monitor or adhoc modes. Do I need to replace any kernel modules or settings?

No other way besides compiling the kernel to not include hermes drivers? Guess i probably have to review my options on whether i need the sniffing functionality that bad....

Is there anything different between cacko's tetsu kernel and the one Im using (v18a)? Im loath to flash the sharp rom as im kinda customized for my needs.

Maybe you need more than only the kernel, cacko has a lot of changes in configs.

Ill investigate it. I took a suggestion of loading the patched drivers for spectrum24 for Cacko separately in the spectrum.conf but no go.
