look for/in:

~/.bashrc
/etc/bashrc
/etc/profile
The settings in .profile .bashrc in the home directory override the ones in /etc/

using bash, got the root user prompt fixed to display something useful, now does anyone know how to get the zaurus user prompt to work accordingly?
