Sorry if this is a rather FAQ... is the only big difference with OpenZaurus regular ROMs about using SD as filesystem ?

Will there be any difference at all once 3.5.4 includes alboot ?

Sorry if I missed previous episodes

If you would have read the documentation I was linking to, it would have answered that question
Or maybe just try OZ and Hentges and see for yourself? There's no such thing as too much choice heh

Just FYI, SD / CF can be used to store additional programs. It doesn't default to boot off these devices. That's exactly the way normal OpenZaurus images work.

I lost my Collie buildroot due to a mishap but I'm rebuilding as we speak.
The next release is ready for all machines, only collies root-on-anything images are missing. Stay tuned.

Assuming you're asking about hentges, I guess you missed [a href=\"https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=17191&st=15#]this announcement[/url] about poodle being dropped altogether. That together with the death of watapon development, straight OZ is the only option for us poodle users AFAIK

Oh, damn!!!
YES; I miss this 'notice'!!! :-(

That together with the death of watapon development,
THAT exactly was the point, why I'm looking for other poodle-ROMs!!
WATAPON works fine, but I need Ko/Pi un 2.2.7 and the SHARP-PIM for synching with Outlook... and I can't get it working with infrared (connection to my T610)

Have you ever given 'Zynergy' a try?

Do you live with OZ??
Does it work fine?
Heard that it's buggy on poodle???
Have tried it yesterday, but it didn't recognize my NETGEAR WLAN-Card, assuming a DigiCam instead!! :-((

Any tipps?

A while ago. I was underwhelmed. I guess I should clarify the 'death of watapon' crack   . This means that AFAIK OZ is now the only currently maintained rom for poodles. As long as you don't need the latest & greatest (as you do ), then roms like watapon, zynergy, heck even the sharp rom itself would probably do for you.

I do now

The only real problem for me so far has been apm/apmd. The when enabled/installed, you can't suspend by holding down the cancel button. Suspend from the menu or 'apm -s' work, but I find that opie locks up a lot, requiring me to ssh in to reset or do a hard reset (if not next to a pc).

There's an update to apm in the upgrade feed, but that doesn't work me; can't even suspend at all.

If I remove apmd, then the cancel button suspend works & I get less lockups (not gone completely, but better). But of course, then it won't wake up for alarms .
