Kword / Koffice
« on: January 24, 2006, 04:04:24 pm »
Has anyone tried getting kword to run on the Z? I've never used kspread but I'm interested on if / how that runs too.

Can I print to to my cups-supported USB printer, after I've set it up under pdaxrom, on my C3000 just like I do on my PC?

I thought somebody would've packaged this straight after the beta1 release.

k3b is another thing I'd love to see on the Z- anyone tried that yet?

d.

It's difficult to compile KDE apps right now because apparently sashz hasn't made the KDE headers available yet.

I've never tried a directly connected printer, but have used cups to print over the network.

desertrat-

Thanks for the reply. I've been wondering why there's been no koffice port yet. Why hasn't sashz released the headers? Has anybody asked him about this? Surely the hard work has been done already with getting KDE compiled for the Z? Hopefully beta2 will be out soon with KDE 3.5.1 AND all its development files.

Maybe sashz will include kword in the next release? I hope so!
