Tcpmp On Zaurus?
« on: February 18, 2006, 09:57:40 pm »
Hey, the best video player for Palm OS and Windows Mobile is TCPMP.  I would love to see it running on my Zaurus.  You guys won't know how awesome it is till you find out.  I was hoping someone could make a port.  It is open source.  Comparing my Zaurus to my Palms in video playback, the Zaurus sucks big time

TCPMP is the only program for WM that I'm jealous about...
Zaurus SL-5500 with:
128MB CF Card
128MB SD Card
Symbol WiFi CF Card (working, sorta... overheats and shuts down!)
OZ 3.5.4 & GPE

Zaurus SL-C3100 with:
pdaXrom 1.1.0beta3 & XFCE4, /dev/hda1 256MB swap, /dev/hda2 512MB ext3, /dev/hda3 3328MB FAT32 for stuff
D-Link DCF-660 WiFi CF Card
1GB SD Card
128MB SD Card
128MB CF Card (for flashing)
USB Host Cable

& a Sony VAIO PCG-C1XD Picturebook with accessories...

And for Palm OS     It's so awesome on the Tapwave Zodiac because it takes advantage of its ATI graphics.

I tweaked my video encoding settings some more and got it right.  320x240 and 700 bitrate.  I know that on the Zodiac I used higher res.     I'm satisfied now.  And there is hope for better, TCPMP.

I'm not disappointed anymore, I was just scared.
