Network Security Disks On A Z
« on: January 11, 2007, 05:13:16 pm »
I know I am not the only one to think about this and I know that someone, somewhere has done this (I hope).

Can you take a live CD security distro such as nubuntu (http://www.nubuntu.org/) and get this entire thing working on a Z?  Perhaps on some sort of removable media: CF or SD for us C1000 users?

Just thinking that it would be a kicka$$ way to have a complete network security tool kit with you at all times plus to be able to update it with each new release.

Thoughts or suggestions anyone?

If it's an x86 distro, not without an emulator, such as Bochs, and even then it won't be useful.

I'd look at network and security tools for the Z. There must be some out there.
SL-C750- pdaXrom beta 1 (mostly unused)
Current distro: Gentoo
