Number Of Loop Devices Limited?
« on: April 19, 2006, 03:19:21 pm »
I already asked this question on the German Zaurus discussion board but I did not get a final answer so I try again here.

Is the number of loop devices limited to 8 on the Zaurus?

I did not manage to use more than 8 loop devices on my CL-3200 with Sharp Rom.

According to this page

http://www.geocities.com/rlcomp_1999/loop.html

it could be limited to 8 devices but the entry is very old and am I'm not sure if it's still valid.

If it's not limited I'm ver interested in a method to increase the number of loop devices.

And , last question, does the limit also exists on other ROMs for the Zaurus?

regards

Bernd

No way changing the limit without recompiling the kernel?

What about other ROMs for the 3200? Do they also have this limit?
