Av500 : Music Playback Question
« on: April 06, 2006, 08:08:10 pm »
does the archos have the ability

 - to queue music to play (like on windows media player for example)
 - to save this play queue as a playlist
 - to move the order of tracks around this play queue
  - to shuffle the music in the play queue

also I read this in a review:

2) The inability to browse the AV500 files while listening to music. The minute you try to do so, the music stops, but with the built in resume feature it quickly picks back up right were it left off.

Does this mean that if you are listening to music and you want to add a few more songs to the playqueue, the minute you go looking through the music library the music stops?? aghh......

hi, queueing music is fine, just create a playlist and keep adding stuff, and you can save it. You can also shuffle and move stuff. Its straight forward to do really. Its a great piece of machinery.

Also, it is possible to browse music, there is an option to view the ARC (music) library and keep the music playing, which i do all the time. that review is wrong.

HTH,

Thomas

Hi all,

The AV 500 is a great device, the only complain i have is the placement of the DC in and AV jack. if you use a travel adapter, there's no way ur gonna charge the unit.

Archos told me no ETA on it in the US. I found it on Wal Mart's site

Oddly, the car adapter is L shaped, so it should fit with the travel plug.

Find a universal wall ac adapter that has an angle connector. That's my plan.
