hi all, no real good point here, just so happy to have my 5500 running with oz3.3.5!!
with a 256M sd card formatted with two partitions for /opt and /usr like a great zaurus user here recomended.
got jeode installed and kopi so i can write and compile my little java apps for school.
so happy.

never could get the hancom creator to work correctly but i got tired of reflashing so i do not have those apps but that is only a small cloud right now.

Never posted in a thread like this, guess i gotta do it once:

My setup:

Zaurus C860 with Cacko 1.20 and Xqt Server to run debian (Every tab in qtopia packed to the max)
256 Mb CF for reading/audio/video materials for the tube ride :-)
256 Mb SD for pocketworkstation.orgs full debian/xwindows install with abiword, gimp, sylpheed, dillo, gnumeric, etc..

Plus the random storage leftover from old pda/digicam/misc buys:
128 Mb CF shared CF with my Digicam
128 Mb SD shared with my dvcam
64 Mb MMC shared with my archos mp3player/voicerecorder
Emergency backup 96 Mb CF card (for backup/restore on the road)
and 96 Mb \'on the road\' emergency reading supply for travels/holidays
Oh, and the cf prism based wifi card
and a pocketop keyboard - im a bit of a zaurus junkie i guess (tho probably lame compared to others who frequent these forums) :-)


Plus the girlfriend inherited my old gear:
Zaurus 5500 Tkc Rom
64 Mb MMC Card
8 Mb CF Card (for quick transfers of books from my zaurus)
She carries it everywhere now, opie-reading at every possible moment :-)

Long live open source pda\'s, how else would i find so much time to waste infront of computer screens!!

Zaurus 5500 with:
* tkcrom 1.0 that I modified to support /home on sd and dualboot
* 256meg Lexar sd card running openzaurus 3.3.5 (see dualboot thread in the openzaurus forum)
* ambicom wireless 802.11 card
* got opera & hancom apps installed under oz
* perl, gcc, web server, full development environment installed
* targus wireless keyboard
* custom-compiled kernel that supports 60/4 ram/ramdisk split and async write to sd/cf card
* 128meg cf card (mostly for flashing / installs / file transfers
* 4 gig microdrive is on my wish list

Future projects:
* set up a good digital video recorder solution (most likely base it off of mythtv), with a fronted for the zaurus (stream videos / live tv to my zaurus over wirelss)
* polish up on qt programming, so I can put together a scripting interface for qtopia.
* set up a build environment for openzaurus so that I can make some contributions to them.
