Standard Z Calendar App - Updating the day

Hey all,
Is there some way to get the Z (a 5500 in this instance) to update the date on the calendar app when I turn it on.  I basically use my 5500 as a PDA, so I have the calendar app up all the time.  But the problem is I have to manually set it to today\'s date everyday.
One of the things I liked about my old Palm is that it would automatically go to the correct date when I turned it on,
And please don\'t tell me to get tkc\'s Calendar.....I\'d like to still with the stock software (or at least free one).

In a day I\'ll edit this post and tell you if mine does it.

You can probably turn off the fast load for the calendar and it will update to today when you open it.
