Screwed up my C750 I think
« on: May 14, 2004, 06:29:00 pm »
I was loading some images, and i loaded one that didnt work properly.
now when i hold OK and turn it on i get the menu with 4 choices, I choose 4, and then plug in the unit, then choose SD and hit OK and then the screen just goes black, it used to boot the updater.sh!
any idea what I can do to get it working again?
I think the zImage.bin i used was bad.

any help would be greatly appreciated, i cant do anything with this now

How big is your SD card?  DO a search for NAND restore.

I would help you out more, but I\'ve never hand to do a NAND restore.

I *think* you\'ll need something at least 256mb for a NAND restore.  CF or SD.

Read this section very carefully and follow the instructions to the letter:
http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php...Flash%20Restore

If there is anything you are not sure of, ask before you damage your Z.

worked like a charm. thanks!

they should note in the instructions that the green bar goes to the right and it doesnt tell you that its done, the line just stops when its done.

i was very worried there for a second!

It does tell you it\'s done -in a round about way - after the green bar goes all the way across the text line at the top changes from \"Restore..\" to \"Restore...OK\"
