Look at my posting entitled opie-mediaplayer2 on the OpenZaurus part of the forum.
There isn\'t a codecs ipk per se, you have to install a number of seperate packages (and then possibly --force-depends if it still wants a codecs package. I list them there and you can then try to find them (or convert to tar.gz for your crippled version of ipkg ;-)).
