Freeciv on xqt?
« on: April 15, 2004, 10:28:00 am »
Hi!
Has anyone already tried to make freeciv run on xqt?
xqt.sourceforge.jpg

I\'m using cacko qtopia 1.21.
I installed xqt with fluxbox and it\'s running fine.
So I thought, because the pdaXrom-libs are available in pdaXrom-sdk, it should be possible to install freeciv. But when I\'m trying to start freeciv, it says, there were some problems with libX11.so (i don\'t remember the error-message anymore, sorry...)

After this error, I decided to ask, because it\'s much easier
If somebody already did, why do it again...
If not, I have to try myself again... :-/

Any luck with this?
Gorgeous C860, 256 Sandisk SD, 1Gig Pretec 40x CF, PDAIR leather case & the really cool retractable iPDA USB sync/charge cable. Powered by PDAXROM BETA 1.

My wish - to have a Command & Conquer style game on my Z! (FREECNC!!!) Simcity 2000 would also be great.

Well, I decided to try this as well (as I\'ve been hankering for a game of civ for the past 3+ years!). I\'ve gotten a bit further, but I\'m stuck with a missing library (hopefully, someone who has PdaXrom can help out here)...

Firstly, you can get past the first two missing library calls by doing this:
Code: [Select]
cd /home/Qtpalmtop/lib/

ln -s libgtk-1.2so.0.9.1 libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0

ln -s libgdk-1.2so.0.9.1 libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0

After that step, civclient will complain about \"libatk-1.0.so.0\" (which is apparently some sort of accessibilty toolkit), which unfortunately, I do not have nor can download an arm compile from anywhere (I looked). I tried extracting out of the PdaXrom initrd.bin but I cant seem to (isn\'t it supposed to be a tar.gz file?). Can anyone with PdaXRom installed help out here?

For those interested, I got the libraries from sashz, but am still having trouble. Others are welcome to try and see if they can help solve the problem:

Thanks Demosthenes, but I already received the atk library from sash (see the thread I referenced above) yesterday. Unfortunately, still having issues.
