I\'ve always liked the products from PDA Panache. I have a Dell Axim stylus and a Cross insert stylus from them and the quality is just fantastic. The tip material they use is the best feel on the screen of any I\'ve tried.
Lets face it, the stock toothpick stylus is junk. I bought a PDair one which is better, but still not brilliant. After I read on the forums that the Tungsten T3 stylus fits the C860, I ordered one from PDA Panache.

It is excellent quality and fits my C860 perfectly. Better than the Sharp and PDair ones by far. A great upgrade if you need one.

I agree with you on the quality of the panache stylus. I had one for my palm vx, which outlasted the vx.
Question for the Zaurus crowd:
Is the Zaurus stylus the same for all models, or is the C860 different than the 5600, 6000, etc.?

The stylus I had on my 5500 had a metal body, black plastic stylus tip and grip at the other end, but mine was broken by the previous owner.
My newer C860\'s stylus is a single piece of black plastic, looks crap but it can\'t break as easily.

The Tungsten T3 stylus is by far the best stylus for the Z. Fits 100% perfectly in my 5600.

I got a Pentopia from conics
http://conics.net/shp/pda/zaurus-sl-c700/pentopia.html
. I was amazed at how much difference a decent stylus tip made. The lip where the thin inner shaft slides into the outer shaft is quite sharp and can be a bit uncomforable after extended use. I gotta admit, the panache looks more comfortable in this regard.
The biggest problem for me is that all the stylii available have the same outside diameter - obviously, so they can fit into the zaurus. After an hour or so of frantic note taking, my hand gets extremely tired from gripping such a thin pen.
Does anyone know of a stylus that is the same thickness and length as a normal pen?

I bought a PDA Panache stylus insert for one of my Cross pens and it works really well. Since I mostly use the keyboard on the C860, the pen stylus doesn\'t get as much use as it used to.
If you do use your stylus a lot, the insert (they make them for a number of pen brands) might be the way to go.

I went to the local lumber store, bought a 5/16" diameter dowel (I splurged and bought oak for $1.25), cut it to 6" long, put it in a pencil sharpener and it's a perfect stylus. Oak dowels are 36" so I get 6 out of a dowel. Ash dowels are cheaper and 48" so there are 8 to a dowel.

dh: thx for the info. I went back to the Panache site and was amazed to discover they make all sorts of very nice pen/pencil/stylus combos - just what I wanted.

When I ordered my Cross stylus insert from Panache, they also sent a cheap pen stylus with essentially a plastic Bic body. I end up using that the most as I keep it at work. I only wish I ordered a couple more.
