SL-6000W Forever

It seems that waiting for a "mid-year" release of the SL-6000W was a bit optimistic, so I'm starting to wonder what can be done about this beastie since IMO, something this expensive isn't worth the money without the Bluetooth support.

It seems that the W is available from a few web sites in Japan.  The only problem I can currently see with this is that I don't know Japanese, so I would need to somehow get English onto the thing.

OpenZaurus doesn't seem to support any of the 6000 models, so that option appears to be out of the question unless I start hacking.

Perhaps flashing the SL-6000's ROM onto the SL-6000W would work?  I highly doubt it, but I don't want to rule out the possibility either, and someone has probably tried it. :-)

All in all, though, this is all a bit depressing.  I was hoping to see this thing at least mentioned on web sites this season. :-/

there are two steps to untranslating a japanese device running qtopia.
you might also have to install an english inputmethod, but the regular keyboard input on the ja qtopia should work.

edit one file- change one thing, and run one command to untranslate

edit ~/Settings/local.conf
change Language = en
and from a commandline run
qcop 'QPE/System' 'language(QString)' 'en'

No, but I bet you can get pieces of 6000L ROM into 6000W (Qtopia programs, etc.). The only difference I can see is support for bluetooth, so everything else should be replacable with 6000L version.
