Frontend not finding its backend
« on: August 13, 2004, 06:56:49 am »
Hi there.

I recently stumbled across a strange behaviour on my SL5500G (running OZ 3.3.5). After I installed the bash-package, my scummvm-qte frontend and the QtopiaGnuboy launcher stopped working. Well, at least almost, they still start up, but when I want to start a game, they both refuse to find the scummvm or qtopiagnuboy binary.

Strange is, this just happens when I fire those apps up using the desktop icons. From within a shell, they work flawlessly. Both processes run as root when started, and the binaries are in the path.

I can live without the scummvm-frontend, since 0.6.0 brings along its own, but I really do miss the qtopiagnuboy-launcher :/

Any suggestions would be really appreciated, I already did a forum search and asked google, but did not find anything.

Regards,
   Gina
