Enabling FTP on OZ 3.3.5
« on: October 14, 2004, 01:21:15 pm »
I recently installed OZ 3.3.5 on my 5500 (because I couldn't find 3.5.1). I'm trying to FTP into it now. I can ping it when it's in the cradle, but FTP connections fail:

Connected to 192.168.129.201.
Connection closed by remote host.

I assume there's some config change I need to make somewhere, but I don't know where/what that might be. What do I do?
5500 w/ OZ v3.5.1
64 MB Kodak CF
Linksys WCF12 CF wifi

It's worth upgrading.

You may be able to ftp to port 4242 (the Qtopia-compatible cut-down ftp sync server), however you're better off using sftp or scp (for sftp with 3.5.1 you have to install an extra package from the updates feed, but scp is supported by default). Also note that you should use ssh rather than telnet to do remote terminal connections (and ssh is also supported out of the box).
