Address book format
« on: December 22, 2003, 07:22:10 am »
Hi

I\'m using the tkROM and the Sharp PIM address book.

I\'d like to use the Abook (Psion-like address book) from the software feed.  This can import address data, it says, from the Sharp ROM XML format.

But the Sharp PIM address book that I am using does not seem to store data in an XML file - rather it seems to be using files called SLADRS.BOX and SLADRS.IDX (at least, I think these are the data files.

Is there a way to upgrade from these files to XML, so that I can in turn import the data into Abook?

nope.. since the 3.10 rom, sharp changed it\'s pim format to dtm... you can check out more about the dtm database here.  if you want pims + xml, you would need to use OZ.
Search the OESF Wiki

Someone did write a dtm2xml tool, but I cannot remember where I saw it.  Not on ZSI, was probably on DevNet Forums.  Try a search there.
