Flashing Cacko/crow Rom
« on: April 06, 2006, 03:38:23 pm »
I've flashed roms onto my Zaurus a couple of times before, so I got the actual rom into memory easily enough. I'm following the instructions outlined here but once I get into the SD card stuff, I have problems. I'm using a 5500 with a 128 mb Viking SD card, which has worked perfectly for me before. The exact problem is that once I run fdisk and then mkfs as Crow asks me to, I reboot, and it seems to start up well enough. But when the load gets to "Initializing /home..." my Z just sits there indefinitely. Any help?

The first time it does take quite a while to initialize. Leave your Zaurus connected to AC power, go have a cup of coffee or two and come back in about 30mins.

Thanks for the tip... I tried waiting for something like 5 minutes, but nada. I'll go try longer.
