Gaim, Xmms, Opera......
« on: December 07, 2004, 09:51:19 pm »
Alight, I am a noob

I installed Gaim (w/ all those libraries) and it just can't open...I really wonder...

I also installed qpdf (the one in that feed) but I end up having sigsev......
Of course I had installed those two libraries

Installed libsdl and Snes9x, but not working...(snes9x not shown in console)

Installed XMAME....but don't know how to get it work. I can only find xmame.SDL in console  after installation...

Xmms, managed to install it...but how can I put songs in it.....I remember I can put songs in it by pressing "eject" or "add" button  in the OZ 3.3.5 's xmms, but I can't get it work in 3.5.2

Installed Opera 7.3 (using compat) and konqueror...
But they just crash TOOO often....(might be because of those crazy javascript and flash in the website)
how can I make them "stable", is there any CSS code that I can edit (Just like firefox)
And Is there any place I can find opera 7.55

And how can I switch off the LCD...I asked my friend to make a script w/ the use of blanker(ipk/script),  to switch off the LCD in 3.3.5 , but it no longer works in 3.5.2

ANd finally, is there any tutorial page for the use of those krimst, wellenreiter....

Sorry for my terrible English, English isn't my first language afterall

I have the service pack version of this installed and I can get it to work with icq but not with yahoo or msn.  Have others been able to get it to work?

I haven't tried Opera but once I followed the instructions about which libraries to install and got my wireless networking operating, konqueror worked.  Mine crashes to but it seems to be the result of my root folder where it puts it cache folders running out of room.  I can't find anywhere to change that, I would like it to be on the sd card which is where I have konqueror installed.

On mine:
Gaim - won't connect to either yahoo or msn.
Xmms - seems to work ok
Haven't tried opera and have same problem with Konqueror.

I've just re-flashed with the Hengtes rom.

Now although xmms runs, it won't allow me to load mp3s for some reason.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Alight, I opened under console, and I it said I missing the libglib.....(something like that)
(I use hertige rom....and it should be equiped w/ that  )
Then I remove -> install (reinstall won't work)
The, there is an error again abt opening the libstdc++.so.6
So, I reinstall teh libstc again.

AND FINALLY I get it works.
and when I put songs in it (using stylus on Zi)... it (the console) said
 inserting /mnt/cf/Music/19.Street Corner.mp3
Nobody recognized /mnt/cf/Music/19.Street Corner.mp3

Input play /mnt/cf/Music/Gudumm/11.mp3
plugin ok, something else is wrong: time=-1?
Szam vege,gyuhet a kov.

I finally got it to work (and opeiplayer2) by doing an ipkg-link mount /mnt/card. I think also I may also have re-installed it to root.

Relinked everything, and works!

Still got a couple of probs, but I think if I install these apps to root instead of sd, then they'll work.
