Oz 352 Ext2 On Cf Verrry Slow!

Has anyone noticed what their transfer times to an ext2 filesystem are like under OZ352?

I have my CF formatted with hda1 as vfat, and hda2 as ext2 and for example my times to copy a 12Mb file are:

   vfat to vfat         15s
   vfat to ext2    8m10s (yes, that is 490s, or over 30 times slower)
   ext2 to ext2    8m11s (nearly the same, so it must be to do with write speed)
   ext2 to vfat        14s

Is there something wrong with my poodle or what?

I think that's correct albeit unfortunate. vfat is a much more simple filesystem than ext2 that seems to play better with flash. Then again, it's an old kernel and newer kernels could perhaps perform better.

Would I be better off with jffs2 instead of ext2?

What fdisk type is that, and
In OZ352, where are the jffs2 tools?
