OpenZaurus 3.3.5 + 5600 Special Overclocked Kernel. Maybe?

Hello

I recently bought a Sharp Zaurus 5600 USA Version. I want to reflash it with OZ 3.3.5, but i doubt wich kernel should i use. I think that i must use the one supplied in the OZ distro but i\'ve noticed that exists a special overclocked preemptive one that runs as twice as fast that the sharp one. I want to test this kernel with OZ 3.3.5 but i\'m afraid of blocking my device. Anyone has tested?

The question is: If i reflash my Z with that kernel and OZ and nothing works, can i reflash it again with the originally supplied kernel and rom, or i will get into trouble?? A few months ago, i reflashed a pocket pc with a damaged rom image and it crashed, and i don\'t want to have a similar experience with my new and cute Z-5600.

Anybody can answer my doubt?

You can\'t just use another kernel and expect this to work, because the modules won\'t match. Besides, the preemption is not what gives you the speed - it\'s disabling the xscale cache errata. And since this means the workaround around the CPU bug is disabled, I\'m not so sure if we really want that. That needs more testing. If your Z appears to be stable in all conditions, we may apply that patch to the OZ kernel.
