Where To Get 6000?

What about the shape and size of the models? Remember that the 6000l is huge, not exactly a slim, elegant beast. The C series tend to be small, at least from what I've seen. Which can you picture yourself using most? If you don't mind paying the extra, and the idea of pulling this huge handheld and hefting it around (a bit of an exxaguration, but not much. ) doesn't bother you at all, then the 6000l is a possibility, whereas I don't want one for precisely that reason. If you'd prefer the clamshell design, then go that route. For most, at least from what I can guess, the 5x00 is merely the first one they get.

The problem with using a CF usb card is that all the models with no usb have only one slot and no expansion sled. I want wifi, usb host and a spare cf slot. Also, I don't really like carrying my wifi card around in case it gets broken- builtin wifi would be excellent, likewise with usb.

Aren't the clamshells much thicker (especially the big battery models and the 3000)?

I didn't realise that the 3000 had usb host.

Isn't it cheaper to import a 6000l (which still seems better than the c series) from the us than import a c series from japan?

Does anybody know of any uk 6000l importers (like shirtpocket, but they only do clamshells)?

Yeah, not having that CF slot open while using a CF usb host card is not all that appealing.  However, I would be using the CF usb host card for my phone and I would use the SD slot for storage. Would be nice though to not have to take up a CF slot for that.  Kinda looking into the clamshell models. They seem a bit pricey. The C700 seems to be the 5600 comparable model, right?

In terms of speed, probably. But in the PDA game I really don't think speed is that much of an issue (it's one of the last on my list). And internal memory will never be enough for me, so more really isn't an issue either. It's functionality you want. And screen size (the main reason I want to upgrade is for a higher res screen). The 5600 still only has a 320x240 screen, and I can see the big battery being annoying. The built in speakers and mic is probably the one thing that I would consider buying a 5600 for, but the additional cost doesn't warrant it at all. Either get a cheap 5500, or go for a 640x480 screen.

Cannot find anyone that sells the SL-6000. Has it gone awol. What is the deal?
I wonder what one has to do to get one from Sharp? Whats the pricetag per SL-6000 in an enterprise purchase. I want an SL-6000. But its not worth more than my 2.4ghz mobile athlon notebook. More like 400-450 tops. When I bought my SL-5500 two years ago I got it at an office depot for 400. If it were mint I could sell it for 150 now. If some smartguy got a bulk of sl-6000's and started selling them for 400; Who wouldnt buy one ? seriously.  There is money to be made if sharp pulled their heads out of their backsides and sold what people wanted to buy for a decent price.

That is a harsh thing for me to say but I am a bit cross right now as I spent two days looking and cant find but one listing on ebay for an SL-6000 and no-one else online seems to sell them and if they did would it be for a reasonable price ?

Not counting a possible deal on ebay, I have not seen a cheaper price for 6000 than $785 (without shipping)
