I am very new to OZ, but have used many of the sharp based ROMs on my Z ...
I have a 5600, and I've heard that 3.5.2 is stable (enough) to finally use on that model ... so I've been trying it out for the past week ... It's rather hit or miss I'm finding.
The network app does not always want to connect to an AP w/ wep enabled ... infact it a iwconfig shows it isn't setting the essid or wep key at all ::: but that is a seperate problem, and my guess steams from using the hostap drivers with the linksys wpc11 card. . (no prism2 drivers included? ? wlan-ng?? )
I am used to partitions on the Z being install space, and memory space ::: But I see in OZ that there is /root and /home etc... mounted as seperate devices. I quickly found the opie-package manager didn't like to work (would always hang with big dl) .. so I started using apgk which seemed to work fine :::
It has installed everything to /root (as it was the only selectable option) and some of the programs didn't even work from the opie-feed. easy enough to solve one-by-one . but I selected everything I wanted, and installed it all at once :: hmm ... . not ideal.
I'm asking how to get my space back on /root without damaging anything. . ( i may just format and re-flash to save time) ... but I still have the problem of filling it up again .... Where is the best place to install files? How do I configure apkg to allow me to to install to elsewhere ... i tried just using /mnt/home but it said it was unwritable. I may just use ipkg from the command line, but that involves downloading everything to a CF card, and etc... I like packagemanagement systems. (which is why I'm a fan of debian)
Is this specific to the 5600 version? or am I just being dumb
