Ok - Got 2 new cards today.

1) I second redtree that the Socket 56k modem card works.

2) Socket low-power ethernet card also works.

I have just gotten the Socket 2900-117 Low Power CF card working. I had to compile a pcnet_cs module for the Zaurus and hack the hotplug and pcmcia scripts, but it works....

I got my Hawking Ethernet card (CF686TX, I think) to work, but I had to tweak /etc/pcmcia/config, as suggested in this other post.  The lines I added added to /etc/pcmcia/config were:

card "Hawking 10/100"
  manfid 0x0149, 0xc1ab
  bind "pcnet_cs"

I didn't have to reboot; I just had to restart the cardmgr: /etc/rc.d/init.d/pcmcia restart.

I'd delete this if I could. Didn't notice at first you specifically asked for non-memory cards. Sorry

Ive used a 1Gb Lexar 4x CF, Sandisk 256Mb SD and most recently an Hitachi 4Gb Microdrive. No complaints.

Regards,
