Backup Via Rom-image?
« on: May 13, 2005, 09:04:23 am »
Hi,

How are ROM images created?
I thought it could be a good way to make a full backup of the C3000.
IIRC the built-in backup application needs a 4GB CF card, because it creates a full image of the hard drive.

I need a way to make a full backup so that in case of a hardware or bad software failure I can pop in the card with the backup (into another machine if necessary), restore the machine via "ROM flashing", and can instantly continue my work, without installing packages etc.
