Cacko C3k Wlan
« on: May 15, 2005, 06:15:24 pm »
Hey guys,

I saw that cacko was implemented basically by patching cacko bits into the sl-c3k rom.  It occurred to me that the cacko for sl-c7x0 has hostap support whereas the c3k probably doesn't.  I attempted to enable power save mode through the wlan-ng drivers for prism2, but it said it was not supported.  Is this something that you need HostAP to do?  The power drain on the zaurus seems excessive.. the card gets hot and stays hot even through very light wifi activity.  I have a feeling it's not in any power save mode.  This 1800mah battery gets drained in no time.  I have a Dlink DCF-660W.  I'm going to keep reading what I can find out there.

Thanks,
Mark

We have Hostap in cacko3k, but we don't yet have all the kernel patches that were in Cacko 1.22. Maslovsky is working on those now.

Edit: Well, it appears we *don't* have hostap yet. Sorry. It's in the works.
