C1000 Nand Backed Up, What Next?
« on: June 17, 2005, 03:51:26 am »
Hey all,

I'm NAND backed up, I am ready and happy to try new things on my C1000

What should I try? What ROMs are now available for it? What can I try? I'm all excited now to try new things :-)

Please note, I've not done this in ages, so am a bit of a beginner again, so please be gentle with me, not too much technobabble, easy to follow instructions please :-)

That's what I want, to try the first flash, the first new rom, the joys of the newness and difference from the Sharp Rom.

Though what I don't like is the disappointment and the frustration when things become difficult and you realised you have to go back to the Sharp Rom inorder to proceed. :-(

As I understand Cacko for 1000 is in testing and Maslovsky will not release it to the general public until it is ready.  I've heard other Roms are still raw.
SL-C3100 (from PriceJapan.com): modified Sharp Rom (couldn't make Japanese input work in Cacko Rom)

This one works, and pretty well for most things...

OZ/Opie works fine and looks lovely.
OZ/Gpe needs some little hacks, but gives you X
Cheers,

I can't successfully download OE from the site, it comes down in a crawl and then cuts off everytime I try.
