I just ordered this for my Z (3000).  Do you think it will work as a USB host adaptor?  The price is $3.95 (+ $4.5 for shipping).  I will let you know if it works.

If you are looking for a USB host adapter, then yes, this one will not work...

You might still use it eventually to connect your Zaurus to a USB host device (i.e. Zaurus is the slave), but that's probably a small comfort to you...

Yep, you are right this is mini B (which is written in the description)     I should have read it more closely before jumping.  Has anybody seen a similar adapter but with mini A (not a cable one like iRiver)?

Yes, but only bundled with other similar adapters and a cable...  This makes it more expensive than a iRiver-like cable, although more portable, too.

But then, depending on what you want to plug onto your Zaurus, such a cable-less adapter might make the whole assembly not very practical to use!

Check this post for a picture of my current USB setup (I've got a iRiver-like cable, too, not on the picture, though...)
