Opera, Settings And Bookmarks

saw it somewhere, dont you have to change permissions of the opera dirctory in order to save bookmarks and settings?

A: # su
    # ln -s /opt/QtPalmtop/opera /usr/share/opera
    # chown -R zaurus /home/zaurus/.opera
    # chown -R zaurus /home/zaurus/.operasave

I didn't chown mine, but I did have to chmod them before they would "stick".
