Picking Wireless Lan Cf

    I want to purchase a wireless cf lan card, but don't know which one is compatible with the SL5500 with OPIE 3.5.3.  
   Which ones are good and are supported?

Well I'm not looking for the ethernet card. I'm looking for the wireless. Does the
Linksys WCF12 Wireless-B Network CompactFlash Card (Type I) work with OPIE 3.5.3?
Saw it on amazon for $35.

I have a Spectrum24 symbol cf wireless card(802.11b | 11 Mbps). It works like a charm.
 Also, if you elaborate your question better, you will get a better response.

My bad.  Yeah, I'm new to the linux community and the Zaurus PDA. It's so difficult to find things and know what I need. Cause you know "Microsoft Windows." It's all plug and play. haha.  This may be one of the reasons people go back to windows cause it's easy to use. No need to use the brain.  Well, I'm gonna stick with linux and work my way up.

I  had a linksys WCF12 it worked great till the antena broke off    , my fault  not the cards.  It woorked great for about 2 yrs before that.  I picked up a AmbiCom wl1100c when I was in KC about 3 months ago it is also a good card. Both work out of the box with OZ/Opie, bbattery life seemes to be about the same with each.

Linksys WCF12 card is a great choice. I've successfully used it on both the 5500 and 5600 with Sharp's ROM (get the latest), and also with OZ/Opie and OZ/gpe (use 3.5.3 in both cases). It's as close to plug-and-play as I've seen.

I just bought an ambicom wl1100c-cf and it worked right out of the box with OZ opie latest. It was easy to find in the UK.

I just purchased a Linksys WCF12 and I am trying to get it working on a SL-C860 Zaurus running OZ 3.5.3 with Opie v1.2! However upon pushing in the card it is not auto detected!! I tried what Syrae said in this post (https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=13841&hl=wcf12) and the card is shown on my list.... can anyone help me manually configure to card?   Any help please !!!

I have a Poodle and my "Socket Low Power WLAN" cf card (which is supposed to be the same as a Spectrum - worked fine under Sharp but says it is unrecognized in OZ 3.5.3 and the OZ pcmcia file does not show entries for either it or Spectrum. Did you have to do anything special to get it going?

FWIW, do NOT get a Sandisk Connect (the "plain" WLAN card, not the one with 128MB memory added).  I've had two fail within the first year, and then the one that replaced one of them fail a year after that.  I am considering a Connect+ (the one WITH the flash memory), since it's supported out of the box, but I'm a bit hesitant.  How has everyone's experience been with these?

My Belkin 802.11b CF card works well in my SL-5500
