Long Term Issues?

I was browsing around the net looking for Archos info.  I am considering buying a MP3/movie player, and found this article which talks about some of the long term issues with an Archos jukebox

Aside from Battery concerns that I saw on a yahoo forum are there any other REAL concerns?  Quality, support?  The author seemed to be Ok 3 years downstream so that sounds pretty good but you never know.
