I just reflashed Hentges after screwing up an ipkg install (I've got to remember to include -d sd or use the gui...) and filling up the root filesystem, as well as breaking mplayer by installing the SDL libraries and Crimson Fields. Since it was unresponsive, decided to reflash and reinstall.
Since I did that, my Zaurus has been...sluggish. For instance, playing mp3s, clicking the 5-way button to advance to the next mp3 sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. The times it doesn't, holding the key down will step through the current mp3, then releasing and pressing again will advance to the next track.
The wireless has had a problem timing out when downloading packages. I have downloaded the same package from the same location relative to the AP, three or more times, and all but the last would stall, and the last would complete instantly. The Zaurus was the only thing on the AP at the time. I tried turning off WEP for a little while to see if that was the cause, and it was not. I actually went to a local Panera's to eliminate the question of problems with my wireless network.
Nothing has changed with the hardware, I'm using the same Zaurus, the same files and even the same CF and SD cards. (the SD card, which has /home/root, is less than 4 months old.)
Anyone have suggestions on what the problem may be? I'm still working on getting the packages onto it that I was using before.
Thanks,
