Qkonsole & Full Screen Mode
« on: October 22, 2005, 09:53:13 am »
I run vim in qkonsole. When possible I use the full screen mode as the Zaurus display isn't actually big.

While this works quite well most of the time, qkonsole switches back to "windowed" or "semi-windowed" mode after resumes and after switching to other applications and in some other situations.

Is there a way to maintain full screen mode, i.e. make qkonsole switch to full-screen every time its window is moved to the front or activated or similar?

Cheers,
Thomas.

hold qconsole icon down with stylus until the special window pops up.  remove all checkmarks and okay.

start qconsole and then hit fonts->fixed change to 12.

Unfortunately this doesn't quite solve the problem. But maybe I didn't describe it precise enough.

QKonsole has this button in the button bar that maximizes the window so that it covers the qtopia status bar (or whatever you want to call the bar at the bottom) and makes the windows title bar disappear. Unfortunately, after a suspend/resume or after switiching to a different application and in some other situations the status bar is there again. So, I was wondering if there is a way to make qkonsole restore window maximization as it was before suspension.

For several reasons using a smaller font to compensate this isn't feasible. I currently use Terminus 16 which is readable from some distance and supports latin1 nicely.
