C3100 Upgrading Ram From 64mb To 128mb
« on: November 26, 2005, 06:46:36 am »
I see surfing the web that some pdas like Dell Axim X50V can upgrade the RAM from 64 to 128 by changing the hardware chip....

is it possible on C3100 ?

If, yes what chip may i use ? Will the new ram be seen without any problem from kernel ???

Saw the same article you did (brighthand?) yes it is posible, in fact the processor it uses supprots up to 1G of ram

go check the hardware hacks part of the fourm, the posts about it have been moved there, at the moment we are looking at about 128MB of ram without any modifcation of the internals, with modifcation more may be posible
