Where did you find a battery? Did you have to purchase directly from Sharp?

I'm having a weird problem where my Z won't boot, and in diagnostic mode my backup battery never gets above 2.7V. I'm thinking that the ROM is detecting a low backup battery and refusing to boot until it gets charged up.

I'd like to replace it, but everywhere I've looked online only sells the batteries in large batches or with $100 minimum orders. Neither of which I'm too keen to do.

Any pointers on changing it would be welcome as well. I'm not afraid of soldering, but if you learned something to make it easier when you did it, feel free to share!

Thanks!

Does anyone have an update on the availability of the backup batteries, as I am looking to get a used 5500 in the next few weeks, and it may be useful to know

Cheers
